How does the Aquasana® Shower Filter work?

Aquasana® shower filters use a patented two-stage filtration process:

• Phase 1 – removes chlorine and improves pH balance with a natural copper/zinc mineral (KDF-55D).
• Phase 2 – Coconut shell activated carbon filter medium. Removes synthetic chemicals, THMs, VOCs, herbicides, pesticides, and pharmaceutical residues.

Why filter shower water?

A shower water filter is at least as important as a drinking water filter. The steam during showering can contain a 20 times higher concentration of chlorine or synthetic chemicals than normal tap water. Inhaled chemicals enter the bloodstream directly. Chlorine also weakens the natural protective layer of skin and hair.
